Summary

SuiteCRM, an open-source customer relationship management application, has an SQL injection flaw in its legacy SOAP portal method portal_get_entry_list. A remote attacker with low-privileged portal API credentials can exploit it to read database contents and metadata, alter query behavior, and consume server resources.

Read the original description

SuiteCRM is an open-source, enterprise-ready Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software application. Prior to 7.15.2 and 8.10.2, the legacy SOAP portal method portal_get_entry_list propagates caller-controlled where and order_by values into SQL query construction without sufficient neutralization. A low-privileged portal API user can perform blind SQL injection to disclose database metadata and sensitive records, affect query behavior, and consume resources. This issue is fixed in versions 7.15.2 and 8.10.2.

Questions about CVE-2026-97377

Is CVE-2026-97377 being exploited?

It is not in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, and CISA's SSVC assessment does not mark exploitation as active. That does not mean it has not been attacked: vendors and researchers can report attacks before CISA lists them. No public exploit code is tracked.Source: cve.now feed data

What does this mean?

The legacy SOAP portal method portal_get_entry_list does not properly handle input, so a low-privileged portal API user can inject SQL expressions. The advisory says this blind SQL injection can expose database metadata and potentially sensitive data, may allow data manipulation depending on the query context and database permissions, and may degrade performance. On MySQL with the FILE privilege, it could lead to remote code execution via SELECT INTO OUTFILE.Source: github.com

Which versions are affected by CVE-2026-97377?

SuiteCRM: before 7.15.2; from 8.0.0 before 8.10.2.Source: cve.now feed data

Am I affected, and how do I check?

The affected ranges are SuiteCRM versions before 7.15.2, and SuiteCRM 8.0.0 up to but not including 8.10.2. The issue requires a low-privileged portal API context that uses the legacy SOAP portal method portal_get_entry_list. To check, look at the installed SuiteCRM version in the admin area and see whether the legacy SOAP portal API is in use.Source: github.com

How do I fix CVE-2026-97377?

Upgrade to SuiteCRM 7.15.2 if on the 7.x line, or to SuiteCRM 8.10.2 if on the 8.x line. The advisory lists these as the patched versions and gives no workaround.Source: github.com
