Summary

SuiteCRM, an open-source customer relationship management application, has an SQL injection flaw in its map marker endpoint that lets a logged-in user alter database queries. Such a user can reach it remotely over the network with low-privilege login and no user interaction, and could read or modify database data and consume server resources.

Read the original description

SuiteCRM is an open-source, enterprise-ready Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software application. Prior to 7.15.2 and 8.10.2, the jjwg_Maps map marker endpoint uses the authenticated caller's distance value in the map_markers action without strict numeric validation or parameterization. An authenticated attacker can alter the SQL query, extract database data, modify query results, and consume resources. This issue is fixed in versions 7.15.2 and 8.10.2.

Questions about CVE-2026-69142

Is CVE-2026-69142 being exploited?

It is not in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, and CISA's SSVC assessment does not mark exploitation as active. That does not mean it has not been attacked: vendors and researchers can report attacks before CISA lists them. No public exploit code is tracked.Source: cve.now feed data

What does this mean?

The map marker endpoint in SuiteCRM's jjwg_Maps module does not properly handle the distance parameter, so an attacker who is logged in can insert SQL commands into database queries. The advisory says this can expose database metadata and potentially sensitive data through blind SQL injection, and can change data depending on database permissions.Source: github.com

Which versions are affected by CVE-2026-69142?

SuiteCRM: before 7.15.2; from 8.0.0 before 8.10.2.Source: cve.now feed data

Am I affected, and how do I check?

SuiteCRM versions before 7.15.2 and versions from 8.0.0 before 8.10.2 are affected, in the map_markers action of the jjwg_Maps endpoint. To check a installation, look at the SuiteCRM version shown in the admin area or the version file in the installation.Source: github.com

How do I fix CVE-2026-69142?

Upgrade to SuiteCRM 7.15.2 if you run the 7.x line, or to 8.10.2 if you run the 8.x line. The facts provided do not list a workaround.Source: github.com
