Summary

SplitPro, an expense-splitting application, is affected by an authorization bypass in its expense details function, which lets a logged-in user read other users' expenses, including notes, recurrence schedules, and the user records of participants and group members. An attacker can reach this remotely over the network with a standard user login, and needs only an expense ID, such as one held by a former participant, to exploit it.

Read the original description

SplitPro through 2.1.6 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows authenticated users to read other users' expenses by supplying arbitrary expenseId values to expense.getExpenseDetails. Attackers who obtain an expense UUID, such as removed former participants, can retrieve expense notes, recurrence schedules, and full user rows of participants and group members.
