Summary

Stonewuu's ai-fusion-video software contains an insecure direct object reference flaw that lets a logged-in user reach other users' projects, assets, and scripts by guessing sequential object IDs on its API. An attacker can read, overwrite, or cascade-delete that data and add themselves as a project member, and can reach the flaw remotely over the network with low-privilege login and no user action.

Read the original description

Stonewuu ai-fusion-video before 1.3.0 contains an insecure direct object reference vulnerability that allows authenticated users to access other users' projects by supplying unscoped object ids. Attackers can enumerate auto-increment ids on /api/project, /api/asset and /api/script handlers to read, overwrite, cascade-delete data, and add themselves as project members.

FAQ

Questions about CVE-2026-121940

Is CVE-2026-121940 being exploited?

It is not in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, and CISA's SSVC assessment does not mark exploitation as active. That does not mean it has not been attacked: vendors and researchers can report attacks before CISA lists them. CISA's SSVC assessment notes a proof of concept exists. No public exploit code is tracked.Source: cve.now feed data

What does this mean?

The app does not check that a logged-in user owns the projects, assets, child assets and scripts they request. Any signed-in user can therefore read, change or delete other users' or teams' data, and add themselves as members of a project.Source: vulncheck.com, hackmd.io, github.com
