Summary

The WP Customer Area plugin for WordPress has a stored cross-site scripting flaw in its 'display_name' parameter. A remote attacker with a low-privilege, subscriber-level account can inject scripts that run in the browser of any user who opens the injected page, without that user taking any action.

Read the original description

The WP Customer Area plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'display_name' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 8.4.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
