FAQ

Questions about CVE-2026-107306

What does this mean?

The module does not sufficiently sanitize the attributes it applies to menu link container elements, so stored script can be injected through them, which is cross-site scripting. The attacker needs a role with the 'Administer menus and menu links' and 'Use menu link attributes' permissions.Source: drupal.org

Am I affected, and how do I check?

Menu Link Attributes versions before 1.8.0 are affected. The default configuration is not affected, and the issue requires an unsafe container attribute to already be configured by a user with the restricted 'Administer menu link attributes' permission. Check your installed module version and whether any such container attribute has been configured.Source: drupal.org

What should I do about it?

Update Menu Link Attributes to 8.x-1.8 (version 1.8.0), which contains the fix.Source: drupal.org

Is it being exploited?

It is not in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, and CISA's SSVC assessment does not mark exploitation as active. That does not mean it has not been attacked: vendors and researchers can report attacks before CISA lists them. No public exploit code is tracked.Source: cve.now feed data
