Questions about CVE-2026-120349
What does this mean?
The mobile-site directory name is written into generated PHP code without strict validation. An authenticated back-end request can therefore run arbitrary code as the web-server user and read the application configuration, including plaintext database credentials.Source: github.com
Am I affected, and how do I check?
The checked facts name XunRuiCMS / XunRuiPHP 4.7.2, while the CVE text says up to 4.7.4, so the affected range is not settled between sources. The relevant setup is the mobile-site configuration save feature that takes a directory name (data[dirname]); check the installed version and whether that feature is in use.Source: github.com
What should I do about it?
The checked facts list no fixed version to upgrade to. Until a fix is confirmed, follow the validation workaround described for the directory name field.Source: github.com
Is it being exploited?
It is not in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, and CISA's SSVC assessment does not mark exploitation as active. That does not mean it has not been attacked: vendors and researchers can report attacks before CISA lists them. CISA's SSVC assessment notes a proof of concept exists. No public exploit code is tracked.Source: cve.now feed data
What if there's no patch?
Validate the dirname value strictly, for example allowing only letters, digits, underscores and hyphens (^[A-Za-z0-9_\-]+$). Reject path separators, '..', quotes and control characters.Source: github.com
