FAQ

Questions about CVE-2026-120347

What does this mean?

The member template API passes the catid parameter into a database query without validating it. Because of this, a visitor without an account can read arbitrary database data, including the back-end administrator's password hash and salt.Source: github.com

Am I affected, and how do I check?

The advisory lists XunRuiCMS up to 4.7.4 and tested 4.7.2. The setup must make the member template API reachable and have list.html call the list tag with the unvalidated catid. The advisory says the flaw applies to MySQL/MariaDB, SQLite3, PostgreSQL and SQLSRV, with the payload shown for MySQL. To check, compare the installed version with 4.7.4 and inspect list.html in the member template.Source: github.com

What should I do about it?

The facts do not name a fixed version or a patch, so no upgrade target is given. Check the vendor's release notes for a version later than 4.7.4 that addresses this issue.Source: github.com

Is it being exploited?

It is not in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, and CISA's SSVC assessment does not mark exploitation as active. That does not mean it has not been attacked: vendors and researchers can report attacks before CISA lists them. No public exploit code is tracked.Source: cve.now feed data
