Questions about CVE-2026-110799
What does this mean?
The password reset function reads the user and token GET parameters, and the validation of these can be bypassed. This would let another user's password be reset, which can take over the account, including possibly administrative accounts.Source: github.com
Am I affected, and how do I check?
The advisory names Vvveb version 1.0.8.6, installed as the Composer package givanz/vvveb. To check a install, look up the installed version of givanz/vvveb with Composer or the version shown in the Vvveb admin.Source: github.com
What should I do about it?
Upgrade Vvveb to version 1.0.8.7 or later, which is the fixed version listed for this issue.Source: github.com
Is it being exploited?
It is not in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, and CISA's SSVC assessment does not mark exploitation as active. That does not mean it has not been attacked: vendors and researchers can report attacks before CISA lists them. CISA's SSVC assessment notes a proof of concept exists. No public exploit code is tracked.Source: cve.now feed data
